About price, domains, content, privacy and what happens when you stop. Every answer is based on our terms or on how the service actually works.
Getting started
What does it cost to try?
Nothing. You enter your org. number or company name, and Avently builds a finished draft without you creating an account or entering a card. You see the whole site before you decide.
What do you fetch from the Brønnøysund Register Centre?
Name, organisation form, industry, business address, website and founding date from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities. Opening hours are not in the register, so you add those yourself.
How long does it take?
It takes a couple of minutes. Keep the tab open while the site is being built.
What happens if I don't keep the draft?
Then it is deleted automatically after 7 days. You keep it by entering your email address.
I already have a website. Can you use it?
Yes. If you enter the address when you start, we read the text on it and use it as background when the new site is written. Images and layout are not moved over.
Content and visibility
Do I have to write the copy myself?
No. AI writes the copy in Norwegian and English from the register and what you tell us about the business. You make changes by clicking directly on the page. AI can make mistakes, so check facts, prices and contact details before you publish.
Will the site be found in Google and AI search?
Every site gets technical SEO, structured data (schema.org), a sitemap and llms.txt automatically. On the Website plan an SEO autopilot goes over the site every month, on Growth and Agency every week. Nobody can guarantee rankings — your content matters a lot.
Price and payment
How much does Avently cost?
The Free plan costs nothing. Website costs NOK 490 per month, and Growth costs NOK 990 per month. Agency is by agreement. All prices exclude VAT.
Can I publish for free?
Yes. On the Free plan the site is published on an avently.no address, with one page and “Made with Avently” at the bottom. Your own domain, more pages and visitor statistics come with the Website plan.
Is there a lock-in period?
No. You can stop whenever you like, and the subscription runs until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Can I pay by invoice?
Yes. Choose «Få faktura i stedet» (get an invoice instead) under Betaling (Billing) in the customer panel. The invoice is sent by email, paid in advance with 14 days' payment terms, and carries a fee of NOK 29 excl. VAT per invoice.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. If you move up a plan, you only pay the difference for the rest of the period.
Domain and email
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, from the Website plan. You buy the domain yourself from a registrar and connect it with guidance in the panel. The SSL certificate is set up automatically. If you would rather we did the connecting, you can order domain help for NOK 599 excl. VAT.
Does it include email?
No, Avently provides the website, not email. If you have email on your domain with another provider, it carries on as before.
Privacy and data
Where is the data stored?
The database is hosted by Supabase in the EU (Ireland), and the websites run on Vercel in the EU (Dublin) with an edge in Stockholm. Backups are kept on a separate server in the EEA. Where a sub-processor handles data outside the EEA, this is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Who owns the content?
You do. Text, images and enquiries are yours. Under Min konto (My account) you can download the site's text, settings and enquiries as one file (images as links). Enquiries are in any case deleted automatically 24 months after they were received, as set out in the privacy policy. The platform and the code behind it are ours.
Stopping and cancelling
How do I cancel?
You cancel a card subscription yourself under Betaling (Billing) in the customer panel. It stops at the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Invoice agreements end from the next invoicing period.
What happens to the site when I stop?
When the period ends, the site is taken offline and visitors see a short message. Stopping deletes nothing: text, images and enquiries are kept, and if you start again, the site comes back. Enquiries are in any case deleted automatically 24 months after they were received, as set out in the privacy policy.
What happens if I delete my account?
Then the websites you own alone go to the recycle bin for 30 days, so a mistake can be undone. After that they are deleted for good. If you have an active card subscription, you need to cancel it first.
